The Art Of Bullet Journaling

Anyone who knows me will likely not be surprised to hear that I’m terrible at organization. I was so disorganized in school that it got me into trouble all the time. I must have started and abandoned over 100 journals and day planners throughout my life. I’m sure some of my readers can sympathize. However, some people excel at staying organized in a way I’ve always been a little jealous of. A few of these people even make it look easy. Then there are the people who take organization to the next level and elevate it to an art form.

There’s a new trend popping up among America’s youth called Bullet Journaling. Bullet Journaling is the art of organizing and presenting data in a way that’s incredibly pleasing to look at. Some have even described it as turning digital information presentations into beautiful analog interpretations. The results are spectacular. Take a look for yourself.

Sometimes the design is understated an not that much different from what could find in a pre-made journal.
Of course things get more interesting when color is introduced.

And then there are the designers who go all out with presentation.

I wish I had the talent to make something like this.
Some of these layouts are more complex than computer spreadsheets.
Of course some of the best bullet journals are simple and personalized.

I love how these journals blend utility with artistic expression.

With the right attitude anything can be fun, even scheduling.

So, are you inspired to start a bullet journal yourself? If you are please share them with me, I’d love to do a follow up!
